Aye right.
Aye right to which bit?
You parting with a tenner. ;-)
Prepare to be disappointed then.
Have you weighed in with your tenner yet.

Looking decent.
Didn't think that many people would pay up tbh.
Playing for cash is great.

We need freebies!
I'll fund a set of darts and a stars of darts wallet to the winner, regardless of whether they've paid or not. The darts are worth around £40 and brand new.

By the new year we'll have new sponsors and a couple of prizes to give away of that I'm certain.

Very generous of you. There will be a flood of entries over the next 46 hours.
My spare sets are too expensive to give away especially my Elysian 4s.

I wonder what the difference is between this comp and previous ones.

Paid my tenner will predict tomorrow.

Now that Nikkiboy is offering some darts a few more lurkers may predict. However they are worth £40 and not £150 which most people select.
Still think £10 is reasonable for a 3 week comp. It is only 2-3 pints in reality. Maybe 4.

I've put my predictions in for the first 2 rounds.

Just doing it for a laugh though, not for money.

This time of year with 2 small kids, I've got no chance of remembering to put predictions in for every round. I'm bound to miss something.

Indeed Ginge, remember what you've been told numerous times my friend, size isn't everything and we will accommodate anyone regardless of the size of their post count.

DavidOwen67 conveniently disregarding the fact that many frequent posters have not predicted either.
Don't understand the correlation between reading a forum and being seen as some sort of unscrupulous freeloader. I'm sure most forums have a silent majority.
For the record, tenner paid...and was before any darts were offered ;-)

I can understand why in the past competitions were restricted to those who had contributed a certain amount to the forum. After all, contributors are the lifeblood of any forum. Without contributors, the lurkers would have nothing to look at.
I always saw it as encouraging participation in discussion rather than punishing the lurkers. Nothing wrong with lurking if that's what you want to do, and as you say every forum has them. I was a long time lurker before joining up and can honestly say I've found the forum much more rewarding and enjoyable since I did actually start taking part.

I suspect David Owen is just on one massive fishing trip.
