The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
This thread will be updated with the current tables and rules etc.
Prizes (if any) - to be confirmed
I am more than happy to have an entry fee of £10 per person (if the individual wishes) and share the pot between those that have paid. I can administer this through my paypal account or a direct bank transfer.
What to do
Before each round I shall start a thread where I shall ask you to predict the scores of all the matches.
Round 3 Predictions are likely to be split into 2 parts to ensure there is plenty of time to predict.
There will also be a number of bonus questions in each round to predict.
Scoring is as follows:
Round 1 (best of 5) - 3 points for correct result, 6 points for correct result AND score.
Round 2 (best of 5) - 3 points for correct result, 6 points for correct result AND score.
Round 3 (best of 7) - 5 points for correct result, 10 points for correct result AND score.
Round 4 (best of 7) - 5 points for correct result, 10 points for correct result AND score.
QF's (best of 9) - 7 points for correct result, 14 points for correct result AND score.
SF's (best of 11) - 9 points for correct result, 18 points for correct result AND score.
Final (best of 13) - 12 points for correct result, 24 points for correct result AND score.
Bonuses will be 5 points each up to and including the Semi Finals. In the event of a tie for the bonus question, 5 points will be awarded to each player.
The bonus questions for the Final will be worth 10 points each.
A template will follow soon.
Good luck!
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES - Thursday 13th Dec 7.00pm
Smallprint
If a tie is needed to split the winners, then bonuses will be disregarded and the player with the highest aggregate score across all rounds excluding bonuses shall win. If still tied, the player(s) with the highest Final Night score will win in the tie.
If still tied after this, then countback will take place, looking at who had the highest Semi Final session score, highest Quarter Final etc, until a tie can be split. In the unlikely event there is still a tie, the earliest first round Prediction wins.
The decision of myself and the site moderators are final.
The random draw will use the thread for the First Round and as a loyalty this can only be won by someone who has predicted in all rounds. The same user cannot win the random draw and a prize by finishing in the top three. If the random draw selects them, it will be redrawn.
Entries made after the published deadline in each round may be accepted at my discretion, minus the bonuses and matches that have been played already.
All entries made by duplicate accounts, will be disregarded.
EDIT : FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO PAY £10 MY PAYPAL IS FLING170@GMAIL.COM. IF YOU WANT TO PAY BY BANK TRANSFER THEN MESSAGE ME FOR BANK DETAILS.

Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
Well I'm happy to weigh in a tenner. Not everyone will be though. Just do what I did in the fantasy footy and ignore the rest of the participants for prize purposes and only include those that have paid.
Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
Likewise up for a tenner.
Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
I'd be happy to as well. Which is free money for someone as I generally give up half way through!

I'm up for throwing in a tenner as well. We may not have the Unicorn sponsorship, but for me these competitions add to the enjoyment of the tournament, so whilst not giving up on getting prizes, suggest everyone who is prepared to put their tenner in and take there chances pm Fling for details of his Paypal/ Bank account.

Well I don't use PayPal so it's bank account or nothing for me
Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
Oh and btw, yes moderators can edit posts without being seen, however it shows in the mod logs and therefore manipulation after the event can not happen undetected.
Just for clarity, if we are playing for cash.

Can I just ask...Have you a set payout structure in place?
Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
Depending on how many entries I would pay out something like 70/30 or 60/30/10 (%).daveboygreen wrote:Can I just ask...Have you a set payout structure in place?

I take it that payouts will be decided before the start of the comp?

Well obviously.daveboygreen wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 2:45 pmI take it that payouts will be decided before the start of the comp?
Re: The 2019 PDC World Championship Prediction Competition-HOMEPAGE
Payout will be decided as soon as I know who has paid the £10. Obviously all of the money paid in will be paid back out.daveboygreen wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 2:45 pmI take it that payouts will be decided before the start of the comp?

The sooner the better so that I know how many are going to play for the prize pot.
