Round 2 at the Matchplay > 3 Lakesides
Just asked on RTL7 if it was better than his three Lakeside wins.
Well, he just said it was, live on Sky.
Live on RTL7 also.
You said he was asked. You didnt quote his reply.

Superb match and well played Glen :-).

I think the tournament is wide open and any of three or four players could grab it.

This to me just proves that as good as MvG is, and he is a great player, he is not quite as good or as dominating as Phil was at his peak.

Taylor won 7 successive World Matchplays between 2008-14 and 104 plus averages were hit for fun over longer distances.

Michael has only managed to grab 2 wins over last 7 year period when he has been pretty much ranked World No1 for most of that time.

Ah sorry no was the answer. Apparently beating Noppie topped it.

Interesting how to some people Duzza is a BDO player when he wins and a PDC player when he loses.

Spoiler alert - he's a PDC player.

Great result for him tonight. Hope he wins the whole thing. I shall have a few shillings on him. Small profit from backing Wade at 2/1 at 8-6 down.

Folks claiming on fanatics that this shows the superiority of the bdo over the pdc.

One match. Not a world championship match at that.

Folks gloating that a guy who left the bdo, and on Dutch TV, was encouraging others to leave the bdo, was a bdo hero.

Sometimes they do, and that is just the luck of the draw, with hitting wires, flights and stems being the issues. Other times, and in the instance I referred to, the board costs the player the match.

Guys, clarity and honesty please for a guy who has not seen the interviews.

Did Glen say this was greater than his 3 lakeside wins?

Better than his favourite Lakeside win, therefore better than any/all of his Lakeside wins.

It really doesn't matter if he wins a major PDC title or not - given his age and the competition it may not happen. But hopefully it will mean some people who think that the BDO has/had no quality players will realise that this is not the case. There are enough good players around for the odd diamond to pop up in the BDO, as long as the organisation can sort the basics out.

Who's the favourite for this year's Matchplay? Peter Wright if he sticks to his darts?

I think it's pretty wide open now. I bet you can't get 20-1 for Duzza to win anymore. Pre MVG match.

Hopefully the close matches will continue - an out-of-sorts MvG makes every PDC tournament a lot more interesting

Note to Sparky - Ratajski does not hit many 180s. Please bear this in mind before shoving a fiver on the "both to hit 7+ 180s" @ 20/1

After a long time i will post here at tsod. I hope in a while to compete, again, in the prediction games... My english is not that good, but i hope you understand me.
My question to you: Who do you think that will win WorldMatchPlay 2019.
I must confess that i dont know it, but my favorites are, in alphabetical order: Cross, Wade and Wright. If i have to choose: Cross, Most important outsiders are Durrant and King.

Are you desperate for a set of darts?
