i realise i will slagged off by some on here but my view is this tourney should be on the bucket list of must do for any darts fan / supporter / aficionado to go to once ,

Only those with agendas. If I lived in Holland I would go to this, and but for working commitments I would definitely go to both the Scottish Open and my home city for the Granite City Open.

Back with a new podcast and as it's the Dutch Open we had two former winners of the event join us, four time winner Martin Adams and 2002 champion and the man who hit the first live televised nine darter Shaun Greatbatch. Listen here if you want: https://weeklydartscast.com/2019/01/31/ ... -and-more/

Interesting the question who is the best player around currently without a tour card.
They went for Burton and Menzies.
Phil Taylor.
Not Menzies. Not good enough and inconsistent.
2018:
Statistic
Menzies
Burton
Mean Average
91.72
92.24
Variance
50.43
28.71
Std Deviation
7.10
5.36
Max Average
106.43
108.49
Min Average
73.84
78.71
Menzies has a lower average and more deviation than Van den Bergh (2018: 94.15, 6.85).
Burton is much more consistent.

so its a joke and a laugh then , not an actual serious competition.
