Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
Re: Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
Not to mention that the vast majority of people in the audience have been there as players or players' friends/family since Friday morning and probably enjoy getting home at a reasonable hour on Sunday...
At least we've been spared the usual suggestion that the PDC should somehow look at incorporating the Dutch Open into the European Tour. Baby steps.

There is an evening program, just showed some pictures from it.Dannyboy wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 2:03 pmI am always massively impressed by this tournament.
It is like a PDC event; in all but name.
I can’t help thinking they could spread the schedule out a bit better. Get the crowds in during the evening and create a proper atmosphere as well as the afternoon and schedule the final for around 9-10pm?

I have no idea how that throwing action works, but seems to!

Bless, these kids can hardly reach the board to grab their darts
Re: Bauhaus Dutch Open 1-3 Feb, 2019 - Assen, NL
Wow he can play. I think that match lasted less than 10 minutes!
That would’ve been a 100 average if he finished within 13-14 darts and not missed the doublez

The BDO should just move all their “majors”/TV events to Holland they can keep the worlds at Lakeside maybe but the rest are dead in the UK surely they could get bigger crowds over theiR for them.

Des has it all in hand, venues everywhere contacting them, even a football club he "thought was in the Premier League" but actually isn't. Does his homework this lad.

I beg to differ, the audience is mainly made up of Dutch darts fans, not players family and friends as suggested. the queue to get in to this event starts at 8.00 am on finals day. they pay to get in and it's one of the best atmosphere's ever experienced.Zeyes wrote: ↑Sun Feb 03, 2019 2:06 pmNot to mention that the vast majority of people in the audience have been there as players or players' friends/family since Friday morning and probably enjoy getting home at a reasonable hour on Sunday...

He's 13. Born in November 2005.

PDC Q School 2022. Although, maybe not since the BDO might be 50-50 with the PDC by then.
