For entertainment purposes, I would like to see his tour card status be up in the air until the last day.

In reality, I think he'll have a shaky first day, get knocked out in a game he should have won somewhere in the middle of the day and come back and win one tomorrow.

If that's what he's doing and he still hasn't secured a tour card by the last day that tells you everything about the guy's ambition.

It's either overconfidence or choosing the easy cheque over the more difficult one. Either way it's a poor start in a '7 year plan' of focusing on a professional darts career.
