Indeed, why is Paddy not asking for all the international views of Ally Pally to be added up in the 130 countries that took it live? It's a mystery.
Because Sky is a subscription channel. Many folk are watching around the World using Slingshot devices. Have you included them?
Sky isnt available in Australlia. The person you are quoting got mixed up.

The only way to watch the darts in Australlia was on eurosport and they showed the skiing apparently.
Yes I belive Eurosport didn't show the final in Australia...satellite is Foxtel not Sky and they didn't show it as well..Sky in New Zealand showed it is think

It will be good to get the final figures for comparison. It will help to see if des has indeed brought about an up turn in the bdo's fortunes.

Sunday aft: 205,000 on Quest, 100,600 on Eurosport
Sunday eve: Less than 155,700 on Quest, 91,700 on Eurosport

The darts only appears once in the top 15 programmes on Quest (the Sunday afternoon), so the other two sessions will be less than 155,700 as that is what the 15th ranked programme got. No way of knowing the figure
Now have the rest of the event to add in:

Mon aft: 41,900 on Eurosport
Mon eve: 67,500 on Eurosport
Tue aft: Less than 41,900 on Eurosport
Tue eve: 97,500 on Eurosport
Wed aft: 69,700 on Eurosport
Wed eve: 86,400 on Eurosport
Thu aft: 51,200 on Eurosport, 174,800 on Quest = 226,000 TOTAL
Thu eve: 95,800 on Eurosport
Fri aft (QF): 65,400 on Eurosport
Fri eve (QF): 98,800 on Eurosport
Sat part 1 (ladies final and SF1): 115,500 on Eurosport, 190,100 on Quest = 305,600 TOTAL
Sat part 2 (SF2): 142,600 on Eurosport
Sun (final): 110,200 on Eurosport, 262,000 on Quest = 372,200 TOTAL

All the other afternoon sessions on Quest (Mon/Tue/Wed and Fri) were UNCHARTED, so ranked less than 173,900 which was the 15th highest rated programme.

8 of the top 15 rated programmes were Salvage Hunters

It's ok, apparently everyone watching next Lakeside will know Scott Waites is the favourite but finished 108th in the Q-School table, all those viewers...

As an aside, it is the lowest watched Lakeside final by quite some distance. Even the Channel 4/BT Sport ones were scraping over a million combined.

So, is it unreasonable to say that if you include Quest, afternoons got about 200,000 viewers? Where did the final come in the top 15 for Quest?

The final was the 5th most watched programme behind the football highlights and 3 episodes of Salvage Hunters. Darts final is broadly on a par with what snooker finals are getting on the channel

Wonder what the average age of viewers is for Salvage Hunters? Pensioners highlight of the week :)

I don't think they're that bad as figures go, but obviously well down on those achieved on the traditional fta channels

Absolutely no idea yet, the first set of Sky Sports Main Event figures for that week (released last Monday) had the first half of the week chopped off, and now that week is totally blank on the release today for all Sky Sports channels. So no doubt they will appear there this time next week now. Have updated the PDC thread with the week before, though.

It will be more than 372,200 though, at least double I would have thought.

Would be guessing 1000000 plus would hope so for all the promotion & razzmatazz that the viewer is subjected to I feel a better comparison would be quest / itv 4 there similar channels easily found for the housebound / nursing home viewer anyway it’s fun at the bowls

Was going to say that myself. Compared to previous years not good.
But for the channels we are looking at decent numbers.
More important it is what the channels think. I think they will be ok with it and as Eurosport is a 3 year deal they will see it as a good launch pad,
