Any woman who plays on TV and averages say under 70 they get no prize money

70-80 average as the prizes are now

80-85 as they are plus an extra 10%
85-90 plus an extra 20%
90-95 plus an extra 30%
95-100 plus an extra 50%

any woman who averages over a 100 give the same as the men's world champion
This is possibly the most ******** post ever made in darts forum history!!

Is it as ******** as starting a thread enquiring about Q School, posting in said thread that you wish they would hurry up and open the entries for Q School, but then not actually bothering to enter Q School because all the averages go on Darts Connect for the world to see?

Its a flawed poll anyway as its based on comparing levels to the mens. The true answer to dealing with prize money in the BDO is to slash the level of the mens not increase the womens.

Why are you using terminology that you have reported as being offensive on numerous occasions previously. ;-)

50k and why not - half the men’s champion is fine and would be a great incentive and something for everyone to go for and could potentially encorurage more women to play more of the tour.

Format should be best of 3 sets last 16 and Q/F, best of 5 sets S/F and best of 7 sets final.

How would that be fair given the ladies field being 16 players and the mens 3 times that?

30k. I am guessing for the first bump.
And if they can't get it through sponsors, skim the top off the men's fund.

I put down 30k I can’t see that happening but if get few extra sponsors cuz of suzkk winning this year a 50k purse might happen

But putting money up all round not just winner and runner up something like
1000 2000 4000 runner up 8000 winner 18000

And if that gets more votes than alll the single amounts separately, then we can all agree that the majority want 0 prize money.

Seems a decent jumping in point. Hi all etc...

12k is a decent prize given the standard. I can chuck middling 70's all day long and it hardly wins me a tin pot knockout in my local leagues, let alone 12 thousand pounds. Suzuki played a hell of a final but lets not forget she also played one of the most hard to watch and poor quality games ever seen on the Lakeside stage on the way to that match.

If anything they should bolster the earnings further down the bracket for the ladies. Makes it worth bothering to qualify for the bloody thing in the first place. Only the real tryhards are going to work their arse off all year for the sake of a few hundred quid getting knocked out in the last 16.

In Suzuki's case she should receive at least 500k. Simply because of the money that she will generate for the BDO through the huge asian market that will be streaming in their droves.

I think that considering the amount of players that seriously try to qualify then 12K is a pretty good first prize...it can never be compared to the mens prize fund in darts simply because of the number of players involved and the overall interest from fans and media ..a stand alone women's championship would not attract a decent crowd or sponsors or TV.

If I remember correctly, The World Darts Trophy I’m Holland used to be €30k for the women’s winner.

According to Darts Database the 2002 edition was 15,000 Euros to the winner, 32,500 Euros prize fund in total. Still as much as the Lakeside now, although only paid to QF.
