What next ?
Supposedly Durrant is only playing one more day of q-school.
If true and he fails to win a tourcard, what next for him ?
Will he go back to the BDO , with his tail between his legs but happy enough to hoover up all the posts as their triple lakeside champ.
or will he do the challenge tour only, seeing as he has milked the BDO for around half a million quid over the years.
or will he do both
Personally I would like to see him get a card tomorrow, he has shown he can get the averages needed, but not sure he ever had the mental strength for it, hence why he wanted a free tourcard because he knew deep down he might not be mentally strong enough
Thoughts ?

Re: What next ?
I think the vast, vast majority of darts fans would like to see him get his card.
There is every chance he could still do so, and as far as I am aware, he has yet to confirm he will definitely not be at Q School for the 4th day if necessary.
In the event he does not get his card, think he will play both bdo and Challenge Tour. Big decision would then be if he qualified for any of the PCs through his Challenge Tour ranking.

Re: What next ?
He will probably go back to the BDO as without McGeeney, Baker and most probably Williams as well he can safely look forward to another 100k next Xmas.

Re: What next ?
Does he have the stomach to do the challenge tour grind to earn a card? He will feel rather humiliated if he doesn't get the job done at Q-school.
I guess with an uncertain future in the BDO, he might feel he has to try.

Re: What next ?
He’s in serious trouble definitely. I think we all expected him to win one with consummate ease, but this week has already proven it is an absolute mine field in this event. I’ve not looked at the points table yet but I assume he’s not even close to the top of the order of merit?

Re: What next ?
I hope he shows the hunger and humility and plays the Challenge Tour. It's floor play against other hungry players.Thehateful180 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 9:45 pm Does he have the stomach to do the challenge tour grind to earn a card? Re: What next ?
To get in on the table he'd need to have 2 very deep runs. Only one of the players not in the 4 card winners made it to (and lost in) the last 16 twice, but most of the others won several games.Garry Murphy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:01 pmhe lost in the last 128 twice.Dannyboy wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 9:59 pm He’s in serious trouble definitely. Re: What next ?
Is he definatly doing the exbo on Sunday rather than the last day of q-school?
Re: What next ?
Any player with zero points needs a Semi final or Quarter on one day and a Last 16 or a last 32 on the other to get a card through the ranking.1205 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:35 pmTo get in on the table he'd need to have 2 very deep runs. 11th place is already at 7 points. If those top players repeated in days 3 and 4, 11th would be 14 points.ChrisW wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:43 pmAny player with zero points needs a Semi final or Quarter on one day and a Last 16 or a last 32 on the other to get a card through the ranking.1205 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:35 pmTo get in on the table he'd need to have 2 very deep runs. 29th is 5 points. I don't see how semi+32 would guarantee a spot.

Re: What next ?
It not as big a mine field as Durrant is making it out to be for a player as good as himself.....anybody can get a bad draw and a defeat with a bad draw is acceptable but the players Durrant has lost to a player of his standard should never have lost to..he would never have lost to those players on the BDO Tour and would never have thrown those averages as well....that can only be the pressure of QS....I do hope he gets a card though...he is the best player there regardless of results and if he got a card he would do well..the hardest part is getting the card..
Re: What next ?
Look at the final ranking points from European Q School with less players.1205 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 11:31 pm11th place is already at 7 points. Re: What next ?
He needs to avoid the A game of Herewini or not get toppled by Tipple.

I think his main plan will be not to play so badly.DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 12:27 am He needs to avoid the A game of Herewini or not get toppled by Tipple.
