Remember up to 4 of those guys on 7+ points could win a card outright, and some could bomb in the next two days. My completely non-scientific guess would two last 8 finishes for Durrant should be enough, would get him to 12 points, maybe a point or two less could also be enough1205 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 11:52 pmOh, so you mean probably, based on typical performance patterns.ChrisW wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 11:37 pmLook at the final ranking points from European Q School with less players.1205 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 11:31 pm11th place is already at 7 points. 29th is 5 points. I don't see how semi+32 would guarantee a spot.

Re: What next ?
Callan Rydz missed out on 9 last year with 4 extra cards up for grabs in the UK one (4 spaces up was also 9). Seeing as not everyone up the top of the list will get one, and 7 is the cutoff as of now, I certainly wouldn't want to be relying on 9. 12 was maybe too high an estimate, but 10/11 is probably the target to be secure
Re: What next ?
If you fail in the table, if you get into the top 6 of the OOM you should still get into the first few ProTours up until the first challenge tour weekend.

The points are being shared amongst more players so a lower total is more likely to be sufficient.Mensur Suljovic Fan wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 8:10 am Callan Rydz missed out on 9 last year with 4 extra cards up for grabs in the UK one (4 spaces up was also 9). in his 11 wins in q school, NINE of his opponents averaged under 88
He lost 3 times in Q- School to players all who averaged under 88 in beating him
McGuirk, Usher, Herewini, Tipple, Derry, Robinson, Way, Thomas, Gallie, Bowles, Taylor, Mansell, Calvert, Tate, Brotin, Poynton is a who's who of j0bberz
The highest ranked player he has beaten is Peter Wright and that was in a GSoD group match 5-2. In the same comp days later Wright beat him over the longer format 16 -10
And some people think he is a "world champion" and a top 16 PDC Player.
He is struggling with the 128 in q-school, imagine how much he will struggle against the 128 players with tourcards.

Re: What next ?
Yawn.
So if his win over Peter Wright in a 9 leg match is irrelevant (which is what you’re basically suggesting) then so are his losses in these 9 leg Q-School matches
Just as a comparison, Rob Cross failed to make Lakeside losing in the qualifiers - a couple of years later he coasts through to become PDC world champion...

One thing I like about your posts, you will put yourself out there with your assessments. I do hope Glen gets his card, outright or on points either way. And Menzies too! The current crop of new card holders already makes the year ahead interesting.

If 4 out of 7 on 9 get 1phil davies wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 10:38 pmNah looking at the table I still maintain at least one player will get through with 9. 10 will definetly see you safe.1205 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 10:30 pmphil davies wrote: ↑Sat Jan 19, 2019 5:36 am I highly doubt you would need 12 points more likely 9 should do it.Now could be a good 11.
And 5 out of 10 on 8 get 2
And 1 of the players on 7 gets 3, then 13 would have 10 or more.
64 get 1 point
32 players get 2 points
16 players get 3 points
8 get 4
4 get 5
2 get 6
Given that the better players are scoring more than others, I don't see there being a collapse that would lead to 9 making it, and just consistency could lead to 11.

Re: What next ?
Well what a great few days for the BDO boys, almost all the top players who entered receiving a tour card, it just shows that the chancers are throwing their cash away. If you want to excel at darts, firstly dominate the BDO circuit, if you can't do that you've little chance in the PDC.......still another nice pay day for Bazzer......... so many mugs.
