I mean, granted they can live the 2 year dream, and potentially play some darting superstars along the way, and say I did it.

But the majority don't really earn much, and then end up back in the heap 2 years later?
I think something needs changing but don’t really know what the alternative is.
Maybe people who lose a card can't re-enter for X amount of years... X being 5, maybe...
stupid idea because that would mean each year Q school would get weaker as you excluded players good enough to win cards
Is the correct answer. Beyond stupid.

Why should the 65th ranked player who made 60K over 2 years on the Tour, can clearly play and just missed out be excluded, but the lunatic who had a 32 average be allowed to compete.
If you are prepared to pay the entry fee,why would you not be allowed to compete. Doing no harm and a great experience which I am sure would improve any average player no end.

Exactly. You pays your money, you get a crack at it. Whoever suggested excluding players who lose a card has clearly been inhaling next to Oche.

Its like saying teams relegated from the Premier League this season shouldnt be allowed to try and gain a place back in it next season. Absurd.

Well done to them. Clearly knowledgable about their darts. Which is what the Prediction Competitions are about.

Have to say, rather than some posters bitch about entry criteria, why don't they just get better at predicting.

The system is pretty much fine as it is. Not perfect, but fine. If they start seeding players for this then the list of tourcard holders won't get freshened up. It will be the same old faces getting tourcards and doing sod all with them over two years, then Q school again.

Top 32 only have tour cards

Wouldnt it be nice if they were so knowlegable about darts (as you claim) they actually posted more and expressed the odd opinion or two about it then?

It would be nice, and hopefully they will post more on the forum going forward. Can understand to a degree, their reticence, as unfortunately we do have a couple of more experienced posters who take great delight in attacking newer posters, on occasion, citing spelling and grammar mistakes and putting them off further posts. ;-)

Yes, didn’t Edhouse make the Worlds after missing out on a card, or have I got that wrong?
He did by winning a Challenge Tour on the first weekend which put him near the top of the Challenge Tour rankings putting him one of the first reserves for the pro tour.. They'll always be spots

That's the main thing if you miss a card.. Do really well on the first Challenge Tour weekend.

Easier said than done, but clearly not winning a card in the 4 day lottery isn’t the end of the world.

That said, if you are say a Mitchell, Williams etc. you still have to perform highly, but there are still chances.
