John Part had his best display I can remember in. Along while. 5-0 94 average and a 145 out to win it. Hopefully he can keep that level up today.
DBG is essentially a pretty good pub player 74 average a bit inflated due to no double attempts. Better than the completely deluded people but nowhere near good enough even to make deep runs on the challenge tour never mind the pro tour. Hopefully he draws someone of equal or lower ability in the next two days so we can see what his bottle is like.
This is a very fair assessment. Will probably win more than he loses in local league, lose more than he wins if he played super league (we don't really know what his doubling is like!) but ultimately not good enough.
Not knocking him for having a go but he has NPD so was probably convinced he'd win a card outright yesterday.

Probably only booked 1 nights hotel, he was that sure.
