Real death threats - incredibly rare.
Keyboard warrior meaningless death threats - uncommon.
People playing the victim card and making up death threats - common.
If anyone claims they received "death threats" ask for the screen shots and the police report. Anyone in genuine fear for their life would surely do both of those things.......
