The Tourcard for Leitinger is also a huge sensation for us Austrians. Leitinger is a strong Soft-tip-player.

We talked about Lerchbacher, maybe we have other irons in the fire (Rodriguez-brothers, Goedl...) but Leitinger who???

In the history of Q School, has a loser of a ‘tour card match’ (ie: the final match to win a card) ever not qualified through the OoM (not counting if they did win an outright card during the remaining days) ?

Ginge wrote: Thu Jan 16, 2020 5:50 pm How can you improve it if you dont seed it?

Increasing the format and it takes ages.
Shorten the format and you get more freal results.
Make it a group stage and it will take all night.

As for the answer to the last question: no idea. Will take a look. Guessing at worst it will have happened once on countback.

It’s a difficult one but I think in its current guise it needs a bit of change. I certainly agree that increasing/shortening the format is not the answer and neither is a group stage.

Seeding might not be the answer but it’s probably the fairest way, just working out seeding is the tough one...

My point on the question was that basically, in the history of Q School if you have one good run to a final then you’re virtually assured of a card. This backs up the point about a favourable draw and players are earning cards on the back of one good run which they played almost no hopers even if they lose first round the rest of the time. I appreciate you can only play what is in front of you but still...

I’m sure some players in this situation haven’t had a card for very long or have struggled at the bottom of the OoM...

What would we consider good for 5? matches on the day? It's a slog and it is fecking hot in that place. Got to wear my thin clothes on Saturday and Sunday :-(

Aye. Chris is one who left Cheshire with Spud to play for Clwyd. Runs a Chester pub and supports Everton. Good lad. Ok, thanks.

Quite a few Austrians coming through. Is it inspired by Mensur?
Hope they feature him on a stream in the upcoming Pro Tours.

Might be others if anybody can be bothered to go through darts database. Just knew him of the top of my head 3 last 256 and one Semi not enough to win a card. Started with a quarter this year so hopefully can have a more consistent time and become the first yank card holder in a long time.

Yeah indeed, have seen him on some of the CDC events on YouTube, has a rapid action and is a good to watch!
