Oh no! Those poor 16 players. Think of the children!
Think of the fact that it's not the Pro Tour and they could be coming from all over.

It's not ideal for a qualifying system. Having to turn up 9-10 in the morning and maybe not leaving till past 10 at night

If you are leaving at past 10 you have won a grand at least so theres little sympathy needed.

Thanks for the support, just got in. A few scrappy wins , truth be told i’m Just not fit enough lol second leg against Dean first throw my lower back went! Then every dart was a battle, missed a couple of doubles for decent checkouts but was never in it.

The venue got suddenly very cold up by board 16 before the game with the legend that is Vince Tipple but that was a truly awful game. Loads of misses at doubles for me and Lisa but I took advantage, just!

Need to be fitter and practice more lol , onwards and upwards!

Simple answer is just have one event per day - why need to play two events on the same day??

More tournaments? Challenge tour only has 5 weekends, so it'd only be 10 tournaments if 1 per day.

They could do 2 on the Saturday and 1 on the Sunday, and start a bit later on the Sunday to allow more rest after a long Saturday.

Shortening games would save a bit of time.
Based on Event 4, best of 7 through the Last 128 would have knocked 7 1/2 legs per board, saving 15 to 20 minutes.

Can’t they spread the events out over the year or is it a case of logistics for the organisers?? Obviously no problems for the players involved.

But yes that’s a good idea ref two on Sat and one on Sun if they have to squeeze in the weekends as opposed to shortening matches as should be best of 11 anyway...

Dunno about Wigan but to get 32 boards at Barnsley they had to stick 8 boards in the dance studio next door so there’s no chance there

Not really, they are all around the walls now, with an 8 board practice area for when the games are underway. with Tables for everybody in the middle.
