For his actions in the GSOD. Ouch!

He’s also got a 3 month suspended sentence for the next 6 months.

The Committee found that Mr Price had brought the sport into disrepute by his actions and that they amounted to gamesmanship in his matches with Mr Whitlock and Mr Anderson. Mr Price’s actions were very serious and went beyond what was acceptable in his celebrations and he was overly aggressive in his behaviour in his matches. It was decided that his actions were a cynical attempt to put off his opponents to gain him an advantage.

These actions were in the Quarter-Final and Final of a prestigious televised event and drew an unprecedented number of complaints from members of the public.

In making the decision on sanction the Committee took into account that in October 2017 Mr Price was found to be in breach of the rules for gamesmanship involving the use of aggressive behaviour. The Committee also took into account that Mr Price had previously been fined and warned as to his future behaviour regarding an inappropriate social media post.

The sanction imposed on Mr Price is:
1. For Bringing the sport into disrepute and gamesmanship in the GSOD Quarter-Final Mr Price is to pay a fine of £8,000

2. For Bringing the sport into disrepute and gamesmanship in the GSOD Final Mr Price is to pay a fine of £12,000

3. In relation to 1. And 2. Above Mr Price will also be suspended from attending or competing in DRA sanction events for a period of three months. This will be suspended for a period of six months until 11th July 2019.
This means that should Mr Price be found guilty of any breach of the DRA Rules up to and including the 11th July 2019, the Disciplinary Committee will, unless there are extreme mitigating circumstances, impose the three-month suspension in addition to any penalty for the new offence.

4. For inappropriate posts on social media Mr Price is to pay a fine of £1,500 and warned as to his future behaviour.

Well, If Danny had actually posted the link you would know that Ando got a slap on the wrist as well.

£21,500 is an absolute scandal. What happens to the money? Probably syphoned straight back to Hearn! Who are these DRA charlatans, are they democratically elected or just hand picked puppets? What do players pay the PDPA for, what are they doing about it? This is so outrageous Warrener and Manley should have all the members out on strike!

I am quite surprised that the semi final game between Price and Suljovic was not mentioned either.

Frankly, they could have picked any of the games played in the last 9 months or so.

Probably still worth it as he won £110.000 for winning it. Really if he lost behaving himself he would be £33.500 worse off. Justifies his actions.

Nothing justifies his actions.
Blatant gamesmanship, glad it has been recognised as such.

Hes also gained a likely PL place out of it, and a slightly better seeding for 2 years than if he had lost. Quite sure this fine wont bother him one bit. Least he wont sulk for the rest of his career about a sanction like Ando is doing, has he even bothered playing a Euro event since they banned him all those years ago? Silly sulky Scottish tit.

Seems eye-watering, but he's probably still done better out of it than if he hadn't been trying to put people off the whole week.

You wanna see real change, cut out these lily-livered suspended sentences just so they can still get into the TV events you want them to and give them real ones, or apply the fine to their current Order of Merit total at the same time.

Think they know if they punish Anderson to the same sort of extent, he'd probably walk at this stage.

Made an 'example' of Price so they can do the whole "Hey! Look! We're to be taken seriously! This isn't a circus!" thing but under the surface they are still a set of pathetic cowards who will brush stuff under the carpet when it suits them.
