Players Championship Tour 2019
Re: Players Championship Tour 2019
In order for Durrant not to get European Tour seeding 4 players would have to overtake him on the OOM. Here are the possible players:
13 Durrant 55000
14 Clayton 53750 needs QF (Lost L32) 54750
15 Cullen 52250 needs SF - in L8 min 54500
16 Suljovic 52250 needs SF (Lost L32) 53250
17 Smith 53000 needs QF (Lost L128) 53000
18 Beaton 50000 needs F - in L8 min 52250
19 Whitlock 50750 needs F (Lost L128) 50750
20 Wattimena 49500 needs W (Lost L32) 50500

24 Dobey 46000 needs W (Lost L128) 46000
25 Noppert 45500 needs W (Lost L128) 45500
Suljovic's loss guarantees seeding for Durrant.
Suljovic 16th as it stands. He will be overtaken by Beaton reaching the final.
Smith has dropped to a minimum of 17th. He will be overtaken by Beaton reaching the final.
Whitlock has dropped to 19th.
Jan Dekker (61, 17750) is the highest-ranked remaining player ranked below 25th, so can't threaten the seedings.

The draw separates enough of those players that it's still possible.

Not that surprising to see the players losing. Some are out of form, but there's pressure to win.
With withdrawals, just getting to 17 or even 18 could be enough to play. Whitlock's L128 loss could really end up hurting his earnings.
Re: Players Championship Tour 2019
Barney loses, he now has a few weeks peace to continue his mid life crisis without darts getting in the way.
Not a terrible way for a mid life crisis to manifest itself tbf, shagging someone 20 years younger. Least he isnt riding around Europe on a motorbike....

Hamilton's career nosedived the same way when he traded in his old model for a much younger one.Ginge wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 2:17 pm Barney loses, he now has a few weeks peace to continue his mid life crisis without darts getting in the way.

Suljovic 16th.
Smith dropped to 17th.
Whitlock dropped to 19th.
Beaton tanked against Gray so blew his chance to move into the seeds.
But maybe he wanted to go to the qualifiers to continue his run. :p
By reaching the final Cullen didn't just retain seeding for ET11 and ET12, he moved up to 11th and would go 10th with a win.
But it's going to be tough to win the way Wright's playing.

Re: Players Championship Tour 2019
Another great day for Snakebite.
Far from being the only one but have articulated ad infinitum on the forum that Peter will win Majors if he sticks with the same set up.
For me think he will come through the bottom half of the Matchplay draw pretty comfortably.

I hope he does. Betfred boost last Friday was for him to make the final at 8/1....before he won in Germany and this week.ssjsa wrote:Another great day for Snakebite.

Re: Players Championship Tour 2019
Yet more shocking Players Championship events from Whitlock. The beginning of the end of him on the Pro Tour. He must now rely on his TV form to stay 11th in the world, saving grace is how little he has to defend in the next two World Championships on that front.
Whitlock has to pick it up on the floor or he will be in trouble.
