But what I mean is there are a lot of stagnant players in and around the top 16, but that some of the players around the top 32 are very promising. De Zwaan/Van den Bergh's A-game is better than what Webster can offer to be fair, Webster is relying on a lot of players like that stagnating in order to become a fixture in the top 16 over the next few years
Their A game may be better as you say, but hardly produced every time. Darrens experience will stand him in good stead, these youngsters are still learning. I'm sure they'll get to Darrens level one day.

Not sure what anyone can have against Darren Webster, seems an absolutely top bloke and not a bad darts player at all!

The field isn't even complete, Portela plays off against Hamilton to be the 128th players in the field. They always do the draw on the day anyway, no?

Yeah the complete draw is done on the day. Wondered if anyone had the draw bracket for the seeds eg mvg in top half as #1 and White bottom half aw #2

I don't think one exists, but there's a list of players missing, plus somewhere floating around there'll be a rolling ProTour Order of Merit table lying around so I guess your best bet would be to deduce from that. Or ask Burton DeWitt on Twitter, that would be easier!

phil davies wrote: Thu Feb 07, 2019 12:20 pm With Webster a lot depends on how he does at the worlds as he defending a fair whack their from 2 years ago. Just been looking at those around the top 16 and Clayton looks best placed to further move up the rankings this year. Didn’t even qualify for the Matchplay 2 years ago so that’s free money. As will be extra money at the worlds as he lost first round. The only tv event he is defending a lot at is the players where he made the final. He should easily be up in the top 12 come the end of the year possibly even top 10. Hendo if he does enough to qualify for all the tv events should easily find himself in the top 16 at the end of the season too for the first time and obviously if De Zwaan can match or better his last year he will also be right up their near the top 16.
Clayton has been a bit of an enigma, done exceptionally well in patches, followed by prolonged dry spells. Top 10 is going to be hard, but I fancy he'll stay in the top 16 for a while, he's taking it more seriously now so I see no reason he can't continue his good form this year. As for Hendo, I think you need to put the brakes on him a bit, he's actually defending a fair bit from 2 years ago (good floor form, WGP semi, last 16 in the Worlds), and judging by last year's form, he's projected to be in the mid-20s. De Zwaan for the top 16 is a good shout, again, he was exceptional in patches and rubbish at other times, but it was still an amazing year considering he only won his tour card in January. He's insanely talented, and it's only going to get easier for him from here I think, he's had his troubles, and now he's worked up from the bottom at the beginning of last year to give himself a fantastic platform for this year. Hopp is much the same as well, maybe not quite as talented as de Zwaan, but he finally began to come good last year, he really should be in or around the top 16 by next year
