Just in from work and looking through the results.

Just an observation, but when is Jamie Hughes going to get the rub of the green.

Throwing huge averages every tournament, but running into someone else throwing fantastically each tournament.

Surely will only be a matter of time before he reaches the real business end of an event. Dark horse to do really well in the ET events.

Glen climbing up the Pro Tour OOM.

A couple more decent results and he could be seeded in a PC event.

I'm sure he will get through at least Round one in Blackpool.

Interesting if he draws MVG  ... can’t see him beating the likes of MVG,Smith,Gerwyn,Wade & Anderson, anyone else I agree he’s got a good chance.

He's a L16/QF player.

Don’t disagree he’s quality.. but he’s not a last 16/QF player if he draws MVG

I see Hughes got knocked out with a ton-plus average again. He is playing far better than his results suggest at the moment.

Johnny Clayton 40-1 to win PC11 on bet365 got to be worth a small EW. Also Henderson is 150-1 which seems way to high also worth an EW.
Clayton was 66s earlier when I got him ;) remains to be seen if they "rule 4" the market, they left MvG/Ando/Cross in there until about an hour ago.
£375 E/W I hope?
Of course, I used the DBG's account. They also doubled the odds as a goodwill gesture and sent me free tickets for a tour around the stables of Nicky Henderson, along with free hospitality at Sandown in a fortnights time for the jumps season closer.
You forgot the drive for Ferrari next season that they threw in.

Hughes does have the 4th highest opponent average . 95.0.
Willie O'Connor has the highest opposing averages 95.5.

But, Hughes also is only winning 35% of legs against the darts. Putting him 75th in that stat.
O'Connor is at only 26%, 124th.
Worst is George Killington, who's only won 10% against throw.

So, maybe Hughes isn't taking chances against the throw, so like Durrant he ends up losing with a high average.

I meant I didn't think he would get past those rounds in the big majors.

Interesting, I would say with a favourable draw he could make late rounds, who would have picked aspinall to win the uk open.. for me Glen misses too may pressure doubles and at this level he can’t afford to do that, his scoring is up there with the best but he really seems to bottle the doubles.

Depends on whether his opponents start missing doubles as well. 😛

Well anyone could get a favourable draw when it's open, not so much chance in the seeded tournaments.
He may get some success in the smaller tv comps with the shorter format, no way will he live with the top players over long distances.
