Opening 2 legs featuring breaks of throw.

Hopefully Keegan settles down and takes advantage of winning the bull, but judging by the hot conditions, handling that heat might be an even bigger advantage.

Great standard thus far. Mensur wins the first leg in 14, followed by Keegan winning the next 3 in 13, 13 and 12 darts.

Great 1st game.

Nicholson is fucking awful as usual commentating. He must be sucking Harrington’s boaby to get on tv so much.

All automatic PDC spots for the Grand Slam of Darts will now come from TV tournaments and European Tour winners.
Durrant bumped down to 17th by whomever wins today's tournament.

Coverage interrupted by a power cut. Electricity back on and 4th quarter final just getting underway.

A lot riding on this event with the winner in a Grand Slam spot, and what a win it could be for Hughes, not only putting himself in prime position for the GSOD, but also qualifying for the Matchplay.

Hughes wouldn't really be in prime position for the GSOD. He'd be in 16th, but his ranking means that he'd likely be vulnerable to any other new unqualified European Tour winner, and there are still some possible winners not in.

According to Dan's data the winner moves into 15th spot, so think at this stage of the season that is a prime position to qualify.

Have to say, and not for the first time, Keegan getting Blitzkrieg Bop as his walk on song is how it should be.

He clearly likes it and seems to get him up for it from the outset.

His chart doesn't have Chisnall's ET8 win.

You are 100% correct. Apologies from me for doubting your assertion.

However, not withstanding my error, still think tonight's winner will have a great chance of qualifying for the GSOD.

Duly losing with an average in the low eighties mere minutes later.
