Did we ever find out whether Eurosport are doing production as well? Or is that another nice big fat cost that the BDO have to stump up.
They used a new company for the Worlds and Des was very complimentary of them. I assume they'll be the company used again (the name escapes me at the moment).

Tickets are going to be sold directly by the BDO and not via the Venue's Box Office which sadly means ticket counting is probably off the menu??!
The company who did the Worlds were OK actually.. The coverage was decent..this whole event is going to cost a fortune though.. Venue hire.. Prize money.. Running costs.. No proper sponsor...
Like Des said it shouldn't be happening this year..but I cannot understand him saying if it was down to him it would be cancelled but it can't be because of the Eurosport deal but it was him who arranged that same Eurosport deal.. Or at least was willing to take the plaudits for it at the time..
If it stays the same it was 8000 4000 2000 1000 750 500
I be surprised if there any increase this year but something they might look now they got same place next year

Spot on. People have short memories. The Europsrt deal was under his stewardship and he had the ultimate yes/no decision on whether to sign in, and now he is moaning that his hands a tied because of it...!
And he could have, and should have got a venue months ago if he knew it had to be held.
Still nothing in the Local Paper and nowt on Radio Lancashire, which is madness after happily announcing it.

Can't wait for this lads. Ginge, Skewbollock or Devo must let us know the minute tickets go on sale.

Was there anything on Radio Lancashire when the event was in Preston?

no point until you start selling tickets
Don't really need to have the tickets on sale, it's just a case of saying where and when it is with a "contact the bdo for ticket details"

I think you do. With any marketing/advertising you need an immediate and easy call to action otherwise you lose the impact of someone seeing it for the first time. No way would I try and get air time or paper space without a very clear path to buying the tickets.

You also need a nice and snappy URL. Do we all remember the one that appeared on the poster for the 2017 event? Must go and find it.....
