What on earth are the venue management going to think when some random gimp wanders in off the street loudly demanding they put up some posters he's brought with him?

I think a Jersey Boys tribute, Rhod Gilbert, Russell Kane and an evening of Eric and Ern will be more popular than the darts. Hardly a shock they are the events being promoted.

Considering the final of a previous years event was outsold 6 to 1 by a welsh ballet version of a pantomime vindicates the venue in promoting popular events.

They quietly stopped promoting that I see, nowt on FB since the 22nd July. Sensible.

Then again, just looked and a week ago the BDO posted on it.....

Surely if they sent them materials to put up then its the BDO who should be sorting it out.

I think he has got some 'official' posters and he said he will take them down today. he was ringing box office but none was replying. someone did say on fanatics the BDO should be sorting this out not a guy who happens to know it is on and was walking past and saw no posters.

Not great is it. I guess if the posters are put up it will be "well done des".

Come on Devo, i told you ages ago there was nowt being put up outside the venue, nor on the free advertising screen outside the town hall, nowt in the Times Bar across the road,nor The Sun(pub), nor Wetherspoons, nor the Lancashire Evening Telegraph or Radio Lancashire. They have sat on there arses and not even bothered.
You could probably get in free as the only place to have a ciggy is outside the main doors, so just sneak in later when they are having to use security to fill out the crowd. There's a bench at the back of M&S facing KGH, just sit on there and walk in later or be asked to be in the crowd

That has to be the most embarrassing series of posts ever for a so called major organisation..

Anyway the posters outside are professional posters for acts like you get in cinemas.. I don't suppose the venue wants a photocopied A4 sheet hanging outside.. Probably be done for fly posting..
