Ticket price-Free both sessions. Went to enquire at the box office for Tickets to Rhod Gilbert(already bought them yonks ago) was asked by someone from KGH if i was around for the day and wanted to watch darts(thank god I wasn't in fancy dress).

Atmosphere-Crap just totally crap

Setup -The background of the board looked like a blind person had placed kitchen magnets on a fridge door, frequent scoreboard outages and sound problems.

Darts- Can't complain as most matches were interesting to watch, just a few horrendous performances in the whitewashes. My bet on McKinstry went early but had got on Scott Taylor e/w at 100/1 at the bookies down the road from KGH.

The 'comp that never was' was about ticket sales attendance not how many folk were there.

For. Me to have got it correct there would have had yo have been 100 paying punters a session (plus 1 of course) to make it 601.

no way was there 100 sold for Saturday afternoon or Friday afternoon.

Just to add, most of them were players and their families. From the local area i'd have counted about 60.

Is there a 'Paula curse' developing? The player that beat her got beaten next round, by a player that in turn got beaten next round, by a player that lost the final. This also happened at the world's.....

Coincidence, foul play, or does her inability to win TV matches rub of on opponents?

If what you're saying is true (I haven't checked and don't have any reason to disbelieve you), then another way to look at it is that Paula is consistently finding herself in the weakest strand of the draw (a coincidence, I'm certain), and is still unable to get past the first round.

One person says 300-400 and another says 'just over 150'. But apparently the person that said 300-400 is talking bollox.
