Looks like the quality will go down, as it turns out 20 of the top 22 DT participants last year would have got in this year under these rules. Then again, none of the Challenge Tour players got very far this year, maybe it is a good thing to give the kids a go

Gone are the days where Speedy Services jhold their own employee qualifiers. Hands down the worst decision the PDC have made in their history.

I'm in two minds on it.
The top Challenge Tour players get opportunities to play Pro Tour events, so by taking away spots from the Challenge Tour, they're exacerbating the difference between the top of the Challenge Tour and the rest.
But, I like the emphasis on giving an opportunity to the younger players.
