I retract my earlier comment, he was sufficiently gracious after all.

Hard to watch interview of RvB on Dutch television. Came close to mentioning suicide eventually.

Talking about "I thought I was any better than this."
"I thought I was stronger."
"In the end I'm just an amateur."
"It doesn't matter what I'll do after darts. Life has no meaning anymore."

Huybrechts absolutely smashing Cross. Leg score 6-1 to Kim, so not as though either of those first 2 sets were close.

Don't understand why he agreed to an interview, if he was going to act like that.

You don't agreed to an interview. Your told your doing 1 it's written in the contract you sign. when asked by media you have to do it. Well that's how it use to work when I was playing.

Huybrechts not showing signs that he will fall apart in this match. Looking good for a 3-0 whitewash.

If that is the case and given he’s now retired, he could have just refused??

Bit more transcription of the Dutch interview:

"I'll never forgive myself. I will never love myself. It doesn't matter how many times they (the fans) sing for me, it all doesn't matter anymore. I will hate myself, be disgusted of myself. It all doesn't matter anymore, what I will do after darts. Life has no meaning anymore."

"No, I'll never forgive myself what happened. It's over. I've been suffering so hard. I thought I could keep my act together, but it seems I'm not strong enough. Disgust dominates."

Haha, laters Cross. How far does he drop as this was defending his champ winnings wasn't it?
Thinking of one.

Probably. Would have fined him and docked it off his cheque though

He obviously wanted to do the interview for some bizarre reason. He's clearly not right in the head. That said, he should have known he could lose tonight and should have been prepared for that and had something to say after the match. The fact that he didn't or wasn't capable of something other than what happened suggests to me he's pretty badly gone in the head.

Barney has always been crap at interviews when he loses. He has refused to give them in the past and should not give them.
