Correct. Reminiscent of when Barney was 3-0 down to Lloyd early doors in 2007. Somehow survived and won the whole thing.

One good dart from Malicdem on the bull and Wright was out in R2.

Fair play, he really kicked on from there and is a well deserved winner.

I said he'd make waves back in 2011 when he made a Pro Tour final v Ando - He was unseeded at the time. Threw quality darts all day and seemed to have the temperament as well as the ability.

Funny really isn’t it, he’s been dreadful for about two years, lots of early exits in majors, slipping down the rankings, now he’s the PDC world champion !
Think he has finally found a set of darts which he believes are perfect for him.

Yes these certainly look like the right suit for him. Will be interesting to see how long he lasts before changing again...

So did I.

But thinking about it surely he will reveal all on the eve, or 1st.day, of the renegade world champs?
Really?!
On the night of the pdc final and PL line up people thought he would talk about WDF.. etc
.
People are off their rockers, unless I'm missing a woosh here.
More of a thought that hear would announce that from next year the pdc would be running the only (professional) world champs and the non pdc side of darts were acknowledging this.

I dunno, I think Sutcliffe has been made a scapegoat when Frank Branscombe was clearly responsible.

YES YES YES! Get in there Peter Wright, well-deserved and classy 2020 World Champion!!! Some unbelievable finishing (57%) in a match of this magnitude, and how peculiar the 140 he hit to stay in the tournament against Noel Malicdem in the 2nd round was hit again in the same way tonight to punish MVG for not going the bullseye route, and also the match winning double was D10 in exactly the same spot!

Years and years and years of hard work have well and truly paid off. Yes he would have gone down as UK Open & World Cup champion, alongside all the Euro, World Series & floor event wins, but this ensures he goes down in darting history as one of the greats.

The final was of an outstanding quality with 27x 180s in 10 sets, for a couple of sets MVG was unplayable, couple of 11-darters and a 10-darter. Class from both men at the end and clearly there's a lot of respect between the two men, I mean how can you not be pleased for Peter?
