Funny really isn’t it, he’s been dreadful for about two years, lots of early exits in majors, slipping down the rankings, now he’s the PDC world champion !
Really sorry but Peter Wright has had a very good two years, he's been ultra-consistent since bursting through in 2013 in fact, never lower than 7th (his pre-tournament ranking for this) since before that 2014 final in fact. 5 major TV finals, World Cup winner & 2 TV semi-finals since the start of 2018 is pretty good going.

In the same time he’s slipped from to #2 to #7 in the world rankings and has gone out in the early rounds of majors over ten times (inc. 2 x PL campaigns). If that’s not a slip in form I don’t know what is...

It is what you call timing!

What a class act, will be the perfect representative as World Champion throughout 2020. Will have a mixed year I feel, but as long as he reaches a few TV finals that would be classed as a success and handling the pressure. Whatever happens, just like Rob Cross, he's been there & done it, no-one can ever take that away from him.

So happy for him, well done Snakey!

Didn't really enjoy this event to be honest.

Forget all of the great darts that were thrown, the spotters were all over the place and the scoreboard malfunctioned a few times. It completely ruined my enjoyment of the tournament.

Don't bite to Rout's insincere posts.

He's been crying salt tears because of just how bad literally everything has been at the O2 today.

Obviously Wright. Who played very well in final and won against mosts expectations. Not sure what your point is?

Last time I checked he's not a clown, he's a professional darts player, and a mighty fine one at that.
