Ah yes, Wigan, right in the centre of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in terms of access to the wider world

Makes me laugh re folks moaning about Wigan. The venue is about 15 -20 mins (?) from a motorway junction.

The entire town is surrounded by the M62/M6/M61 is it not, as well as being on the West Coast Mainline and a direct train journey away from the UKs busiest airport outside London? Not that the last bit matters for a UK only event.

I assume the Fanatics are moaning then? Do they moan about the location of Selsey and Bridlington?

Wigan is my home town. Easy to get to.
2 railway stations not far from the venue (next to r the footie ground).

The day and the location are the 2 complaints. Yet the fact it is free hasn't been mentioned (though I will mention it shortly ).

On the other side: a few blokes complaining on pdc fb link that it's not right the ladies are given 2 slots in a qualifier that men cannot enter.

People moaning about the location are absolute idiots. The day - fair enough. But you get plenty of players on the tour who bugger off to Europe on a Friday and dont come back until the Monday to play darts, so what difference will one more working day make?

Anyone using lack of holidays as an excuse for not going to a darts event is an absolute idiot.

Meanwhile, the other lot still haven’t released any details of a major event in 11 weeks time.

Bear in mind that this list isn't including provisional future TV monies. James Wilson has just fallen out of the Matchplay places and as a result is out of the Worlds as of now according to Burton

Just my luck that tickets go on sale when I am on holiday. Let's hope my hotel has good Wifi.
