Good to see Leighton Bennett entering this and doing well. Shame he can’t play at the men’s Lakeside he would be one of the favourites to win it.
Pretty sure that rules abolished now, if he qualifies for Mens lakeside he can play

Well given he is a 13 year old schoolboy I doubt he will be traveling around trying to qualify for it TBH. Be intresting to see what events he does do this year though other than the JDC.
He is trying for men’s and youth BDO in Jan.

Good luck to him on doing this.

He can travel a lot as he is home schooled.

Home schooled = truant? 😁😁😁

I don't like his on-stage antics, but by god the kid can really play. Capable of getting close to Lakeside qualification if he does play enough events.

Two reasons generally why children are home schooled:

- the parents are hippies
- the child is a little shit who has more than likely already been booted out the mainstream school system

Hmm i wonder which one of the two this one is likely to be? A proper puzzler.

Having seen the video of the father's behaviour at the presentation of the Open that he won, he didn't strike me as a hippy, or a teacher for that matter.

Well that settles that one then.

Does sound like all eggs are being put in one basket which is rather dangerous. Plenty of names on the roll of honour of the Winmau Masters Youth title for example who never did anything substantial in the game ever.

If I was a gambling man I'd say the kid will be a millionaire by the time he's 21 so not getting A's & B's isn't going to ruin his life a don't think

Assuming he keeps at it. I refer you to the list of Masters Youth winners i mentioned a bit ago, i assume Dennis Beisser and Craig Clancy won multiple TV titles?
