Mentioned this before. Add drugs in there as well, lets not pretend it doesnt happen in darts.

Be intresting to see what events he does do this year though other than the JDC.neil rose wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 10:33 pmPretty sure that rules abolished now, if he qualifies for Mens lakeside he can playphil davies wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2019 6:33 pm Quarter-final
Mario Vandenbogaerde - Chris Landman
Leighton Bennett - Nick Kenny
Adam Smith Neale - Florian Hempel
John Scott - Martijn Tailor
Good to see Leighton Bennett entering this and doing well. Shame he can’t play at the men’s Lakeside he would be one of the favourites to win it.
This is the problem.
Where is it hate or jealously? Surely its just a bit of realism. Go and look at the list of youth Masters winners. Most vanished without trace.phil davies wrote:The amount of hate/jealousy for a 13 year old on here is pathetic. Let him be kid FFS he obviously enjoys his darts and comes across well already in interviews. Once again I will also say why people feel that darts players must be robots in stage is beyond me. At the end of the day it’s an entertainment business let them have character and play in the way that brings the best out of their own game.
Good luck to Leighton be great if he did make it to men’s Lakeside then and nobody their would want to draw him.
Given his fathers actions at that darts event last year where he acted like a total prick....phil davies wrote:Im not debating that. Its the people slating him or his parents decisions when its none of their business and they dont actually know the details. He is a young kid let him be one without debating details or making snidy comments about him or his parents. I have no problem with people talking about his actual darts or discussing how he will develop.Ginge wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 11:40 amWhere is it hate or jealously? Surely its just a bit of realism. They could also be some sort of christian fundamentalists, way more often a reason for home schooling than "being hippies".DavidOwen67 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 8:52 amHaving seen the video of the father's behaviour at the presentation of the Open that he won, he didn't strike me as a hippy, or a teacher for that matter.Ginge wrote:Two reasons generally why children are home schooled:DavidOwen67 wrote:Home schooled = truant?
I don't like his on-stage antics, but by god the kid can really play. Capable of getting close to Lakeside qualification if he does play enough events.
- the parents are hippies
- the child is a little shit who has more than likely already been booted out the mainstream school system
Hmm i wonder which one of the two this one is likely to be? A proper puzzler.
