Re: Gerwyn Price contests fine
I think a fine in this situation is bollocks anyway. Either he did something badly wrong (still struggling to see exactly what he did which was so bad), in which case he should be banned, or he didn't, in which case he should get off Scott free. A fine of such a magnitude is just a way to pay lip service to the idea of fairness while extorting as much money as they can from Price. He's well within his rights to challenge it

But Phil's not bothered....................

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.
I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists.

Re: Gerwyn Price contests fine
No he shouldn't move on. The PDPA gave Wade a 5000 BPD fine. Okay, if you do that you cannot give Price a fine that's 4 four times higher. That would mean that what he did was 4 times worse than what Wade did. Wade preached violence against an opponent. So Gurney had to smash his opponent in two and spit on him to justify a fine as high as he had. And he didn't. So his fine is out of order.
Re: Gerwyn Price contests fine
Just had a watch again of the key moments of that match.
Anderson was well out of order. Needs to be banned. This is the truth and the mods here are ignoring it.
It is pathetic and dire!

End of subject nothing else to be argued about it. DRA need to sort their shit out.Mensur Suljovic Fan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 4:57 pm I think a fine in this situation is bollocks anyway. Is celebrating and gesturing towards your opponent in a mocking way "in a sporting manner"?
Besides the push, what rule did Anderson break? Is it stepping into the exclusion zone before the Throw-according-to-phil is finished?
Re: Gerwyn Price contests fine
Start a petition, 'stop Anderson assaulting other players'
I hear Price hides behind the sofa every time he hears a Scottish accent, this bullying needs to be stopped, Anderson needs to be stopped #HENUDGEDMETOO

DRA statement:
The Appeals Committee rejected Mr Price’s appeal against the finding that he was in breach of rules 3.1 and 3.2 of the DRA Rules.
The Appeals Committee found that many of the grounds of the appeal were completely without merit and contradicted by the papers in the case.
His appeal against sanction was upheld and the sanction on count 1 was reduced from £8,000 to £4,000 and on count 2 from £12,000 to £6,000, a total of £10,000.
The other sanctions imposed were unchanged. The sanctions as revised by the Appeals Committee are:
1. For Bringing the game into disrepute and gamesmanship in the GSOD Quarter Final Mr Price is to pay a fine of£4,000;
2. For Bringing the sport into disrepute and gamesmanship in the GSOD Final Mr Price is to pay a fine of £6,000;
3. Mr Price will also be suspended from attending or competing in DRA sanction events for a period of 3 months. This will be suspended for a period of 6 months until 11 July 2019 (this suspension has now expired); and,
4. For the inappropriate posts on social media Mr Price isto pay a fine of £1,500 and warned as to his future behaviour.
On 5th August 2019 the Appeals Committee ruled that Mr Price is to pay a total of £2,325.24 towards the costs of the appeal process
