As I’ve said before on here, the top 8 in my opinion should all get TCs. How QSchool is a better indicator over 4 days and offers 15x more places than 20 events on this tour is beyond me.

Aden Kirk beats Lisa Ashton and Rachel Brooks in successive rounds.
Re: Challenge Tour
It's a bigger test, but the more spots you give the Challenge Tour, the fewer spots would be available at Q School, which would put more pressure on players to play the full Challenge Tour to get a card.
With the BDO alternative, I don't think that the PDC should be putting that pressure on players to choose. Although there are only two automatic cards, there's other compensation for doing well on the Challenge Tour, as it provides a path to playing PCs and ET qualifiers.
In golf and tennis, challenge tours are the route in, but there are bigger prize funds and no competing tour.
If the BDO caved, and then worked with the PDC to create a unified system, then I think it would be more reasonable to give more cards to tour rankings.
Re: Challenge Tour
Burton beat Menzies 5-3 in the last 32. So Menzies only earns £100.
Rydz and Noguera also both won their last 32 games, so move further ahead of Menzies.
Koltsov, Jenkins and Rafferty also through to the last 16.
Harris, van Peer and Lynskey all lost their first matches.
McKinstry continuing his decent run, winning his last 16 game with a 95.8 average against Beveridge.
Burton and Noguera out in the last 16, so they each earn 200.
Rafferty also out I the last 16, 4-5. Had 3 darts to win.
(Burton, Noguera and Rafferty all lost the bull start. Nerves showing?)
Fulwell broke Dennant to win 5-4 in the last 16 with a 131 finish
Jenkins out 3-5 in the last 16 to Main, who broke Jenkins to win.
(Yes, Jenkins and Fulwell did indeed lose the bull start.)
Rydz through 5-4 against Bowles. Rydz did win the bull start and had a comfortable 18 dart hold to win. Was averaging over 100 until the last leg.

Re: Challenge Tour
In the quarters, with the match at 2-2 Hol took out 146 to hold, with McKinstry on 40. McKinstry, with spirit broken, started the next leg with a 180, took it out in 12, then broke in 13, and held in 15 to win 5-3 with a 96.7 average.
Rydz through to the semis with a comfortable 5-2 win over Thomas. If he wins the semi-final he'll guarantee his tour card.
Fulwell out 4-5 to Cullen, so Fulwell's slim tour card chances are ended, although he moves up a spot in the OOM.
Main beat Johsnon 5-4 to complete the semi-final line-up.

Re: Challenge Tour
Rydz crushed 1-5 by Cullen in the semi-final so failed to guarantee his card.
Noguera and Menzies could overtake Rydz with a final, and they plus Burton and Koltsov could overtake him by winning CT20, and McKinstry, if McKinstry does the double.
Without relying on others, Rydz needs a quarter final to guarantee his card.
McKinstry beat Main 5-1 to reach the final, with a 93.4 average.

Re: Challenge Tour
McKinstry beat Cullen 5-1 in a poor game (82.4 v 78.6) to win CT19 and move up to 4650 and 6th.
If McKinstry can do the double he'll get a tour card, unless Rydz reaches the last 32 or better and he plays Noguera or Menzies in the final,
Whatever happens, McKinstry has had a good CT, steadily improving his results.

Re: Challenge Tour
Well, he's played in Pro Tour events, so not a complete waste.
Noguera and Koltsov are both on board 2.
Jetze Jan Idsardi notes that due to the draw putting his threats all in the same half of the draw, Rydz is guaranteed his tour card.
CT needs some more seeding.

Re: Challenge Tour
Koltsov, Harris and McKinstry all safely through to the last 64.
Jenkins and Noguera won their prelim games.
Burton, who led the CT for a couple of weekends, is out, losing 4-5 to Jopling.
Noguera out 3-5 in the last 128. Jenkins through.
Also out in the last 128 is van Peer, with a horrible performance including being 3 of 21 on his doubles.

Re: Challenge Tour
Fulwell thrashes Koltsov in the QFs so Rydz has qualified for Ally Pally. Only Andy Jenkins can now deprive Noguera of the second Tour Card, he needs to go all the way and is currently playing David Evans in the quarter-finals.
Re: Challenge Tour
And at 4-4 with Jenkins sitting on tops, Evan's takes out 33 with his last dart to win 5-4.
Losing the bull strikes again.
