Surely the PDC will not allow this ridiculous situation to come to pass?

Why would you email Paula and Des? Odd.
He is the champion, yet the BDO set the criteria, if they change it or give it to someone else, who cares.

That being said, he would be preferable to ANY of the “top echelon” of BDO players left.

You would assume the PDC would veto it if he isnt picked by them. Its their event ffs.

It will be interesting.
Hardly a surprise he’s drawn a blank with the BDO.
Transparency working well.

"But if what you said was true regards current BDO world champ gets a grand slam spot then surely he can go legal if he don’t get a place at the grand slam ?"

This was a comment on fanatics discussing this subject. saying what duzza should do if he doesn't get given a place by the BDO.

I do wonder if folks are on the wind up trying to get mention on JC's blog. Or maybe some think Duzza has a right to be given a slot and can thus make a legal challenge!

He shouldn’t be allowed in as a BDO representative. He will have done enough to qualify as a PDC one.

Pdc would want him there as a BDO player surely.

In which case they tell them he has to be one of the 8,not as if they hold none of the cards here.

Think this is when we will find out if the BDO have total discretion over their 8 spots.

No way would they want one of their spots going to a PDC player. I know Bunting represented the BDO as their WC, but that was before the PDC articulated that the BDO were in total control of their invites.

Maybe they could pull an EDO and inexplicably put Lewis Venes in as the 8th man.

He didnt, He just qualified via a BDO route, different rules pre-2015

He's already 17th. He'll have to play qualifiers, unless he can win another Players Championship and get priority over the single winners.

Oh, I see. I think you're wrong. I don't think he'll overcome the choking.

phil davies wrote: Wed May 15, 2019 3:30 pm Could easily be solved by scraping the ridiculous 8 pdc qualifiers and actually putting all winners(and runners up of tv events) into the slam like they should be anyway.
Then it wouldn't be ranked, reducing the tournament's value.
