He was lucky not to do time for numerous offences.

Sometimes people are naive fools. We all know now how sick and disturbed Jimmy Savile was, yet for obvious reasons he never answered for his crimes, nor did he have the opportunity to defend himself. Nobody has proven certain athletes to have been using performance enhancing drugs, but one look at an athlete's career progression (jobber at 25, world class at 30, etc) can usually tell you all you need to know. But none of this is really that pertinent to the point I was making.1205 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 5:34 pmSometimes people truly believe in treating others as innocent until proven guilty.NvH wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 4:56 pm Some were still saying it after the verdict which is pretty disgusting. If that was some random guy you read about in the newspaper, nobody here would defend him. Glen is a pleasant character and a fine player but his association with Eccles AFTER the charges were brought did him no favours whatsoever.
At least Claire moved on (rather quickly). I hope she knew nothing of what he was up to because she stayed with him up until the guilty verdict, didn't she? Someone must have known what he was doing other than the victim and himself.
If he’s out in 2 years, is there anything stopping him entering q school or any BDO tourney?spaceman70 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 6:41 pm He’ll probably be out in just 2 short years. Hope he crawls under a stone never to be seen again.
He probably wouldnt be able to attend any BDO event anyway as they have youth events. Parole conditions would no doubt forbid it.TheSandman wrote:If he’s out in 2 years, is there anything stopping him entering q school or any BDO tourney?spaceman70 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 6:41 pm He’ll probably be out in just 2 short years. Don’t remember anyone with such a serious conviction playing in either code.
Oh it was rout makes sense now.The Crusader wrote:Cant believe Eccles conviction being compared to those of Taylor and Tyson. Eccles was against a child FFS.
When was Bryant convicted of any sexual offence?
Yes that's exactly what I did/said.The Crusader wrote:Cant believe Eccles conviction being compared to those of Taylor and Tyson. Eccles was against a child FFS.
If Martin Adams or Glen Durrant has been found guilty of a sexual offence we would never hear the last of it.The Crusader wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:03 pm Cant believe Eccles conviction being compared to those of Taylor and Tyson. Eccles was against a child FFS.
I must have dreamt Durrant plays in the PDC thenWazza180 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:11 pmIf Martin Adams or Glen Durrant has been found guilty of a sexual offence we would never hear the last of it.The Crusader wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:03 pm Cant believe Eccles conviction being compared to those of Taylor and Tyson. Taylor gets away with it because he's a PDC player.
Still doesn't get his due credit because he played in the BDO recently.PreciesJJ wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:13 pmI must have dreamt Durrant plays in the PDC thenWazza180 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:11 pmIf Martin Adams or Glen Durrant has been found guilty of a sexual offence we would never hear the last of it.The Crusader wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:03 pm Cant believe Eccles conviction being compared to those of Taylor and Tyson. Bryant was accused by one person, who declined to follow up, and Bryant never admitted rape. He settled the civil case.Black Velvet wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2020 9:10 pmBy your logic, Jimmy Savile was nothing but a humble charity worker. Though Bryant at least admitted what he did. BEAST!
