Highly unlikely I'd say. This thing is gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better.ssjsa wrote:Newcastle will in all likelihood be postponed, and think the rest of the PL season will be thrown into turmoil.
Just hoping Glasgow goes ahead on May 7th.

Aren’t Scotland introducing tougher measures than the rest of the UK for public events? In which case it seems unlikely it’ll go ahead...
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
This time last week none of us could have predicted everything that's happened today, and 7th May is 50 days away.
Still, it's not as if this forum has a collective memory for statements/opinions that don't age too well...

All gatherings of 500+ banned from Monday. Kelso racing on Monday behind closed doors as a result.DavidB wrote:

Hearn has basically said until the Government take matters out of his hands, snooker and darts continues in the rest of the UK as normal (Glasgow PL date aside I suppose, unless the restriction is lifted by then or they play it in front of nobody)

The 500 restriction is for outdoor events, it’s only 100 in doors.Ginge wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 10:38 pmAll gatherings of 500+ banned from Monday. Kelso racing on Monday behind closed doors as a result.DavidB wrote:

A massive problem for our office in Glasgow.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
Surely a workplace isnt classed as a gathering in this instance. Especially given schools are staying open as well.

No problems for the BDO then.malcy93 wrote:The 500 restriction is for outdoor events, it’s only 100 in doors.Ginge wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 10:38 pmAll gatherings of 500+ banned from Monday. Kelso racing on Monday behind closed doors as a result.DavidB wrote:

Is Newcastle still on?
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
I assume so, no government decree yet and flights between Holland and the UK still operating so all players can presumably get there.

Re: PDC Premier League 2020
They're getting increasingly irresponsible by continuing to run these events.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
I suppose people could take some personally responsibility themselves and not go on Thursday if they felt unsafe, in the same way people didnt have to fly out to Torremolinos on Sunday to be stranded by most of the airlines.Black Velvet wrote: ↑Mon Mar 16, 2020 11:52 am They're getting increasingly irresponsible by continuing to run these events.
As far as life in the UK is concerned, I am cracking on as normal until told otherwise, life is far too short.
PDC should suspend the Pro Tour though as not all players can get to them, so its not a level playing field anymore.

Re: PDC Premier League 2020
It's completely moronic to be running any events imo.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
Theres a difference between cracking on with life and having thousands of people crammed in one place together.

Are people being forced to turn up?
Same with the IoM just gone. Nobody forced them all to cram in the same room at the weekend. Or the 8,400 who attended Uttoxeter races on Saturday. Take responsibility for your own actions.

That’s all well and good and all of those people are obviously thick too but it doesn’t mean their actions won’t affect any of us.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
Better all get in our panic rooms now then, I guess.

I am not the one worrying, clearly. If I get this thing, meh.

Re: PDC Premier League 2020
Pretty sure it will be cancelled shortly.
Re: PDC Premier League 2020
There are clearly only two options.
1. Pack yourself in rooms with thousands of other people. Lick each others faces and cough in to each others mouths.
2. Panic buy toilet rolls and pasta. Put on a straight jacket and lock yourself in a padded cell and wait for the end of days.
There is no middle ground at all.
