That doesn't mean the PL format wasn't and isn't stale.

Do the PDC know something the rest of the entire world doesnt? How can you possibly set a date to restart?

Yes it is a bit premature, at least the BDO have held back on confirming the dates of any of their tournaments, common sense.
Des Jacklin: ‘People say the BDO can’t compete with the PDC, but that is the biggest load of crap in the world’

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.

Of course they do. Barry Hearn and Matt Porter are gods and the PDC can predict everything. Would suggest if you disagree with this, please do us all a favour and piss off.

Take it you will be watching the Taylor vs Barney match tonight. ;-)

I’m thinking to stop too many people asking for ticket refunds?

No one knows when life will return to normal, especially big events with 1000s packed in.

I wonder how the PDC will be financially when this is all over, the bookies must be losing a fortune who are of course the main backers of the darts.

Are you an idiot? Your seethe of all things PDC is embarrassing. Are they not allowed to have any sort of back up plan, and incase things change again, are then able to change an amendment? I hope to god you dont run anything other than a bath

I was supposed to be attending an exhibition at the Circus Tavern on 1st May, it's been rearranged until 9th October.

But I'm going to ring up the receptionist and shout at them saying HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY PREDICT THE FUTURE! Coz a troll called Rout on a darts forum said so

Concerts are the same with events postponed in April & May being rescheduled for September onwards.
I suspect they have to schedule new dates so that they can secure the venues.

Also you do not get a refund on your initial ticket purchase if the event is postponed and rescheduled for a latter date.
It means promoters can keep the money in their bank accounts a little longer.

Looking on BBC sport recently, almost every news item is events being cancelled, postponed and pushed back. Sandwiched in the middle is "premier league darts to resume on..."

I havent seen any other sports stating when things will start up again.

Theres a difference between pushing something back for now and openly stating "we are starting again on....."

They cant win either way. Schedule dates in and they get moaned at. If they didnt schedule dates in they would also get moaned at by different people. I dont see the harm in having a Plan B that can easily become a Plan C or D etc... if needed.

Saying "we are starting again on..." is a bit silly though.

"Should no further events be affected" the obvious caveat, there. Are you going to moan at the powers that be in golf for tentatively rescheduling the majors as well?

On the golf forums, I might yes. Particularly if this sort of announcement appears. Image

I can't see that article on the PDC website anywhere. Could you provide a link please?
