Im not sure, but I bet the EDO don’t have to go begging to their government due to a massive fuck up with dates for a darts tournament
Isle of Man date error
Re: Isle of Man date error
Struggling to think which is more embarrassing, not releasing a venue until a few weeks before the event and allowing people not much time to book accommodation and travel, or announcing it and then realising you fucked up, possibly losing people money.
Or at least inconveniencing them as they booked the wrong days off work
Let’s hope the cap in hand approach does the trick

Probably this gets the vote, but only just. Cant imagine Uncle Des doing anything like this.BlueSpark wrote:Struggling to think which is more embarrassing, not releasing a venue until a few weeks before the event and allowing people not much time to book accommodation and travel, or announcing it and then realising you fekked up, possibly losing people money.

I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists.

I think the response to the cockpit up has been very good though. Looks like all will be sorted.

Remember going to see the Cockney Rejects on my 16th birthday.
April 7th 1980 at the Music Hall in Aberdeen. Turner and Geggus were amazing that night and to have seen them at their best was a great experience.

Was certainly a unique time in the history of music. Punk Rock was a phenomenon which will live me forever.BlueSpark wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 8:35 pmThree years before I was born, there

The Pistols, The Clash and the Damned were amazing, but the lesser known groups like the Rejects, the Angelic Upstarts, the Exploited, Slaughter and the Dogs, The Dickies and SLF amongst others were also great.
Always remember watching Banana Splits and Arabian Knights on a Saturday morning and this rendition of the Banana Splits tune from the Dickies is ace.
Anyway, that's enough reminiscences from this old bastard.

Saw The Dickies a few months ago.. Not the greatest gig I've ever been to... The singles and first 2 albums are still great though..especially Fan Mailssjsa wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 8:58 pmWas certainly a unique time in the history of music. Seen all the bands you mentioned at some point apart from The Exploited. Never got them at all..
Get to see The Toy Dolls if you can.. They never play the UK really but saw them back in the mid 80s and again a couple of years ago.. Great live band..

Always remember the first album, the Incredible Shrinking Dickies. Released on yellow vinyl and stood out because of this.trotter01 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:50 pmSaw The Dickies a few months ago.. Re: Isle of Man date error
Just to add before all is removed to the rambling thread: re the exploited. My band (the deceased) supported them in Liverpool, early 80's. They had the line up from their 2nd lp 'troops of tomorrow ': wattie, big John etc
anyway if you Google 'love child records' a Scottish label, and check their latest single release 2019 (Ltd edition of 250) you will see its the deceased. Boredom! With devo Steve on lead vocals. All on YouTube, but don't know how to link onto the music thread on here.
Follow up to our 1984 release 'deathtrip' on new wave records (a French label )
