Isle of Man date error

Post by trotter01 »

Isle of Man statement from Tommy Thompson.. BDO.. EDO.. makes no difference on the cock up front!

Special and important announcement
England Darts has to clarify that the Isle of Man Open 2020 will be held in Douglas at the Villa Marina between Thursday 12th March to Sunday 15th March inclusive. This is a change from the published date on the BDO and England Diaries.

The confusion has resulted by a combination of conflicting correspondence, which we didn’t check before the dates were published, as a result if anyone has already booked their flights for the previous week, please contact us with a copy of a valid booking form, and we will deal with it.

Once again England unreservedly apologises for this error, and any distress this may have caused.

Tommy would like to apologise unreservedly for any distress caused.
Just to put your mind at rest, Tommy, I'm not distressed by this.
On the contrary, I think it's hilarious.

Incompetence of the highest order.

Can’t even get your dates right, won’t be long before they accuse someone at the top of the BDO of trying to sabotage the EDO.

Smart move by the EDO to help deflect the ire of the crowd away from Des and his BDO jamboree announcement wagon.

You really have to give the EDO board a big round of applause as just when you think you have seen the biggest laughing stock in darts this year so far with the BDO and the World Darts Trophy along come TT and the Jacklin minion to trump the lot of them.

I often like to think the amateur side of the game cannot organisationally get any worse or sink any lower but time and time again they manage to do that on a very consist ant basis.

Nah, it'll be fine.
Don't forget they've got a brilliant deal on cheap hotel rooms and a load of high end sponsors queuing up to pay for all of this......
Oh, no, hang on. Wrong group of delusional incompetents.
