Your theory, I think I'll leave it to you to justify. I don't need to prove that this is the best attended WDF World Cup ever.

I see that they are using DartConnect to provide live scoring for all 64 boards being used. I'm sure people on here will have a field day!
I'm not asking you to, thats indisputable. My theory is that this is due to it being in Europe and therefore many more European nations are attending as a result.
Ok Ginge, just for you. Countries with Mens teams at WDF World Cup:

2011 - Ireland 26 Europe; 11 RoW; 37 total
2013 - Canada 16 Europe; 11 RoW; 27 total
2015 - Turkey 30 Europe; 6 RoW; 36 total
2017 - Japan 16 Europe; 11 RoW; 27 total
2019 - Romania 38 Europe; 16 RoW; 54 total

Big increase all round, not just to do with it being in Europe

More than doubled in Europe then, point proven.

Almost 50% up on the last time it was held in Europe across the board. Darts must be booming - or something.

No youth left in N. Ireland & Wales. No oldies in Iran. Surely a trade has taken place here
Speaking about Iran, if I remember right their girls pair won the last World Cup, beating the favorites Holland, playing pretty solid.

Tina must have withdrawn for health reasons. Couldn't believe how frail she looked at Blackburn.

She only averaged 14.88 in winning her match today which is well off her normal standard. Hope she's ok.

I wonder what the total cost is to run this event? outside of the WDF bubble does anyone go to watch these events?
