Thought Gary played ok, but not unlike recent matches, he struggled to close the deal, and is not comfortable at the business end of his games.

As he articulated in his interviews, he has to a degree, wrote this year off.

Clearly still has the ability, but whether or not he has the hunger will dictate not only the rest of this season, but the next one as well.

my take is hes not bothered either way now, made his brass, was always just a hobby thats hes naturally gifted at & has done extremly well out of being motivated to win things with oodles of cash already in the kitty cant be easy, (what makes mvgs hunger for titles all the more impressive) think by 2025 he might chuck it all together

Maybe not many comments on here but that was a good night of darts.

I do mention crowds a lot. But compare this event (were does it sit in pdc events) with the rejuvenated world trophy at Blackburn (3rd biggest bdo event).

I do mention crowds a lot. But compare this event (were does it sit in pdc events) with the rejuvenated world trophy at Blackburn (3rd biggest bdo event).

This event, in the grand scheme of the PDC is little more than an exhibition. Yet the crowd filled out the arena, and I would suggest circa 95% of those there paid for their tickets. The same cannot be said for the BDO Major that was the WDT.
