It's not just the best players that switch.
There's only one John McDonald as MC

I reckon he can make a good ref though....

McDonald isn't always available due to boxing commitments. Russ Bray and some Scottish mush have both done it in the past.
He can do any of the jobs if needed.

Big loss to the BDO, hope he's got a new gig lined up, maybe even a bit of TV presenting?

A professional in a very amateur organisation. Why be a glorified bingo caller for a sinking ship when real money and real fame beckon?

Cracking point re him being one of the most recognisable faces. All the other talk is about the young kids coming through who will be leaving for the pdc ASAP.

And just a thought : I wonder if he became too expensive for the BDO with their difficult financial situation? Get a newby in on the cheap?

I would imagine there's newbies and wannabees that Des knows willing to do it for nowt never mind cheap...
For me the whole BDO is falling apart but no doubt Pauly will post somewhere that things have never been rosier and the futures so bright he's getting his shades out.. That's if he gets his tongue out of Des's arse for 2 minutes..

BDO cost cutting, get rid of the only professional they have. Amateurs being amateurish as usual.

On a brighter note, DES could be the replacement, a step up from being all over the posters to being on tv before and after every match.

Make it happen Des!

In Des we trust!

But also not a big surprise that you have left to be honest.
I’m surprised you stuck it out with all the political shenanigans that have gone on over the years when Sue & Wayne was on the board for as long as you did, you and the refs were never given the full respect you all deserved then.
I actually thought you all would have been given more respect when Des took over but I would imagine that never happened.
and that’s just from my own experiences.
With promises etc but that’s another story for another day.

I actually see YOU as one of the Last major Faces of the BDO.
(That’s not disrespecting the players in anyway.)
You will be a huge massive loss.
You was for the BDO a face, Someone who everyone associated with BDO darts, very professional all the time and gave 110% commitment and more.
I know what you do behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly at events.
What’s scary is they probably don’t even know what they have lost with you going.
I think They have been so short sighted.
It’s a very sad day for BDO darts that you have felt the need to go
All the best for the future

Another threat of disciplinary action coming shortly.

This guy dont help himself does he. And he wants to be involved at Board level with the BDO as he has the O2 connections.
