Is this perhaps a pay issue. They are still available to ref but as freelancers like they work for other events.

I refer you to my question beforehand, I thought none of them got "paid" anyway other than Ashdown?

They must get something on top of expenses, surely.
No-one in their right mind would use up their annual leave from work to stand on Potter's stage repeatedly calling out "Paula, you require 2" for nothing more than a few quid in fiddled exes.

Haha
I remember Des saying something in one of his diatribes about some investigation or some other thing. If this is about that, maybe the refs are collectively leaving if one or Ashdown was singled out by Des.

Suppose that may make sense, solidarity and all that. If that is the case, only one scab remains.

Good opportunity here for Uncle Des to go back to the old school and embrace modern technology at the same time....

Bring back the two blokes sat on the stage sticking the pins into the board. Once three pins have been pushed in a robotic voice announces the score to the crowd.

Something is going on. Someone has posted this is a non story. Would be corrected if just 1 ref was off. But it all about context:

just before the televised major wdt.
Richard Ashdown leaving.
then all(?) the team quiting at once.

I initially thought it was money issues (posted that on fanatics ). But maybe they have jumped before they were pushed?
