They will be seen on a soon to be shown episode of UK Pawn Stars apparently as 5000 world final tickets have now been sold they had an advance of the monies so Des could redeem them

Probably end this thread then by saying John o Shea technically shouldn’t have qualified for this
He qualified by winning the 2018 Irish masters and the 2019 event was played before the cut off, so Ciaran Teehan should have qualified instead

They will just claim he was invited in the final criteria (BDO and sponsor "wildcards"), just like Dave Copley was, who also made the TV stages.

When Scotty Dog pipes up saying BDO could be gone by Feb if 02 fails you know things aren't great.
It's amazing that everyone not involved with the BDO can see the issues, obviously people have different suggestions of how to fix it but anyone who has been in power since Olly has failed. Makes you see the job Olly done after split to keep sponsors, venues and many players still happy with the set up.

Even if they somehow manage to shift enough tickets to cover the winnings, they are surely buggered anyway.

Nobody knows what the winnings are yet. Based on current sales, if they havent cut the prize fund then they are absolute morons. Of course this assumes no sponsor coming in to pay for it all. Sports Direct paying a token amount three days before the event doesnt count.

It makes you see that by the time Croft was gone, things were already in bad shape, and the people running it since have had the same kind of unrealistic expectations, with ever-worsening commercial value in the face of the PDC's growth.
