Cycling is a sport I don't trust but fair enough, each to their own.

As for the snooker, the main tournaments are on the BBC and that's enough for me. Who commentates on Eurosport these days? Foulds was good.
Foulds is their main one, and he still is very good (he also does the ITV4 stuff as well). McManus is on there also (as well as ITV4). Anything on the BBC is also on Eurosport, give it a try during the Worlds, you wont have to put up with John Virgo asking WHERE'S THE CUE BALL GOING!?
The reason I didn't think they invested much on TV rights is that many years ago a guy called Steve Mottershead (who was involved with darts - mostly the Feeler) said that Eurosport don't pay for a single sport they show. Obviously he was wrong, or he was correct but things have changed since then.

I will have a look at Eurosport during the Crucible, cheers. I do quite like John Virgo in a way though! He's passionate and loves his snooker, unlike Willie Thorne who just cares about betting. I did find it amusing though that he got so broke he had to borrow money from Gary Lineker on more than one occasion.

I don't know if you heard of that "Best of Friends"video that they used to mock on Fantasy Football, but it reminded me of that. Are they actually great mates? Maybe not if the "Great WT" didn't pay him back. Such a cliche!
he got broke again, was in the papers last month, wife did a runner, house repo'd and sodded off to spain where he is giving cheap snooker lessons, presumably living in a lineker villa. virgo is okay but getting on a bit now

Snooker is far better on Eurosport than BBC.. exactly the same feed but with better commentators.. better pundits and all sessions in full so actually showing live play when BBC are showing Bargain Hunt or whatever...

Couldn't do without Eurosport for the snooker myself. Phil Yates is a constant irritant, mind you.

Yes the old adage that it’s easier on radio than tv, him and Ian payne both went backwards imo when going to tv,

Why would Eurosport be investing in a dead product?
Eurosport invest (and I use the term loosely as I've heard they pay nothing-very little for pretty much every sport they cover) in a load of crap. They've got to fill their channels with something. Put the channel on at aany random time and very rarely will you find anything worth watching.
Cycling coverage is excellent.
Apart from Sean Kelly's appalling punditry.

Sadly the rest of the BBC product renders whoever is hosting it irrelevant.

Oh, and the answer to the question is yes.

Colin Murray or Hazel Irvine?

I'll go for Jill Douglas on ITV 4.

Aye, I turn on the Dutch comms these days. Female commentator part of the duo which would probably annoy you. :)

Is his punditry appalling?

I'll be honest, I can't understand a word the bloke says.

Kelly would drive rats. He is bloody awful to listen to as is Rob Hatch. You can't understand what Kelly is saying and Hatch interrupts fellow commentators when he feels the need to take over the comms.

The best one is Carlton Kirby. Very amusing. Magnus Backstedt is good former cycling pro on comms.

even better today on 601, JV with Terry, commentating on ronnie moaning about the draft (he's been watching darts) and about to get turned over by the sheriff of pottingham
