Re: Paul Booth is BDO’s new MC
They have announced two of them there without actually announcing them. Methinks someone attached the wrong pic to the post.

Great additions. Lovely blokes who will offer a real professional service. Well done Desmond & Co.

That's the impression I got from the interview on Darts Weekly.
He even said one will be decided today.

Joining Paul Booth and John Fowler will be Glamorgan’s Garin Roderick and Yorkshire’s Josh Clough.
Garin has been a regular caller for Glamorgan for the past three years. His passion for darts began over eight years ago, when he began playing in his local superleague and he is excited and fully committed to his new role in the BDO.
Garin told the BDO he’s ‘absolutely delighted to have been asked to be part of the BDO Officials team. To be a referee for the BDO is a huge opportunity and one I will always be proud of doing…’
‘…This is a huge challenge for me and one I will be taking very seriously and professionally.’
Garin will be joined by Josh Clough. Josh’s experience within darts extends to both on and off the oche. Josh not only plays darts at a competitive level, but is recognised locally as one to watch as an up and coming referee following his experiences on the exhibition circuit.
Speaking about his appointment, Josh stated ‘[I'd] just like to say a big thank you to Des Jacklin for giving me the opportunity to be part of the BDO line-up. It’s going to be an exciting challenge and I’m sure there will be some nerves, but that’s natural and I know in time I will be confident enough to deliver my absolute best’.
Des Jacklin has championed the idea of introducing new refereeing talent, explaining ‘with over 70 applications for the refereeing roles, the BDO had the option to select the most experienced of referees to add to the line-up, but I’ve always been a big fan of giving the ‘new blood’ a go because without them you end up getting to a point when there is no one ‘old school’ left”.
“The process of selecting the next generation of BDO referees was difficult because of the amount of interest. It’s going to be a challenge for both of them, but you know what...let’s get behind them, buy a ticket and give these guys a real crowd when they make their debut at the World Trophy!”
The next name to join the line-up will be confirmed later this afternoon.
Re: Paul Booth is BDO’s new MC
