Obviously a bit more work to do for Leighton than Beau, but these two represent the future of BDO darts until they go to the PDC.
Are you saying that is the end of the BDO once these two move on?
Not at all. The next Beau and Leighton will see how they have come through the ranks of the BDO before moving on, and see it as a template for being a successful professional darts players.

Obviously a bit more work to do for Leighton than Beau, but these two represent the future of BDO darts until they go to the PDC.
Greaves said in an interview with LiveDarts last year that she planned to go to Q School and wanted to play PDC. With Development Tour and Challenge Tour, lots of opportunity to play even without a tour card. Greaves wouldn't need much improvement from her winning form (not the shite she played at the England Masters/Classic) to be competitive at lower PDC levels. Greaves will be 16 in early January, so she'll be able to play PDC next year.

Bennett is a standout of the many good youth players. I think he's an example of the earlier development of players so isn't likely to be anything special in the future, but the BDO needs to recognise that earlier development and not exclude players from their top tournament qualifiers just because of their age. The Open golf qualifying only requires that a player be a scratch golfer or in the top 2,000 amateur golfers to enter. The BDO should have similar ability-based criteria. They're playing county, so they have their averages, and there are records of other tournament performances.

No sign of the ‘future of the BDO’, have they both had a day off?
Des Jacklin: ‘People say the BDO can’t compete with the PDC, but that is the biggest load of crap in the world’

God rest Alf Garnett and Prince Phil.

I used to love cycling but unfortunately I know a man who doesn’t like cyclists. :roadrage:

109.98 average for Eddie Lovely, on a regulation board, too.
