Would assume the venue wont give a toss if they arent getting a cut, they will just staff the bars accordingly. The current prize fund isnt sustainable though, unless they have a sponsor lined up.

hmm, not so sure about that. I think the venue will care about the overall presentation. And 29 tickets will not cover their door/bar staff/heating costs etc.

The schedule will come out and the afternoon sessions will be dropped I suspect. That will be why the schedule release is taking so long.

As an aside, people are buying tickets not even knowing what round they will be watching, and the number of matches. Yes you can assume its the same as last year, but it might not be....

they will not hold a session with 29 tickets sold at the Indigo, I can't see it happening.

But,

I guess they might wait until the schedule is out and see if that boosts ticket sales enough. In theory each player could draw in 5-10 friends (who don't get VIP tickets) so tickets sales could double in these afternoon sessions.

This hasnt been officially announced yet. If its the same and there is no sponsor to pay for it, then it is idiotic.

Little point releasing it whilst a PDC event is on the go tbh, wait until Monday/Tuesday.
