do you reckon there is a chance the event will be postponed or moved if ticket sales don't improve? If going ahead will definitely bankrupt the BDO surely they will consider all options?

And no, there is no chance it gets moved or cancelled. Medium/long term they would be better going back to a draw of 32 for the men, and perhaps cutting the women to 12, and knocking the Mon-Thu afternoons on the head.

He had no intention of standing for the Chairmanship of the BDO.

He had sponsors lined up for the Major events.

There would be no redraw of the Masters.

He will be resigning after the World Championship.

In fact the last statement might come to fruition. Not by him standing by what he said, as he later wrote off the statement, citing it as a bad day, but when he potentially bankrupts the organisation, might leave and assert that he made it clear at the Masters he was going.
