And that's a perfectly reasonable point. There is a market for people who want to attend professional darts, year round, in just about every major city in the country. That market has been filled. Those people have had opportunities all over the country to watch the World Trophy and World Masters and haven't taken that opportunity.

Coming off the heels of a highly hyped event, why would you want to pay more to watch a lower quality event?

25 years ago the WDC wasn't 1 poorly tickets sold tournament away from non existence. Financially they may have been on shaky ground back then but they didn't get there from loosing all their major sponsors, tv time ,a rather large amount of cash or having the chuckle brothers making their decisions.

The WDC gave away tickets so it looked good on TV they had a sponsor there ready to pay the winners cheque etc the BDO if they give away 10000 tickets that's it game over as they have old Mrs Hubbard's cupboard

Really, when was this? I used to rock up at the Circus Tavern in the early days of the WDC. It was still £3 a session, bargain even in the mid 90s.

If there were free tickets going I would have got some.

Not for a virtually bankrupt org in freefall with wobbly cameras offering the glamour and glitz of Gabriel Pascaru v Justin Hood.
