Paula lumbering her way to her traditional straight sets defeat is one strictly for the purists though.

I feel like a stuck record, but if the players think they "deserve" big prize events, they are being catered for elsewhere. The BDO system doesn't produce the money from sponsors, TV deals or ticket sales to justify it.

Des' claims of sponsors in his manifesto looking more and more desperate by the day.

He has to have been telling porkies. He was talking about multiple sponsors already lined up.
Not even Des could have done something between writing that manifesto and taking over to have frightened them all off.

Any company/organisation/sponsor once they have seen how the Jacklin corporation act, would run a mile. The behaviour of the Jacklins is for all to see, they are totally oblivious to their actions, the are chavs.

Seems very odd to introduce a new charge for having BDO points for an event part way through the season.. events have done their costings and some haven't had this new charge but some now will have to pay on top of what they have budgeted for... Very strange and obviously a sign that the BDO are skint...
I don't know how much this new charge is though.. anybody know ?
